This collection consists of a set of printed and stitched waistcoats, their design inspired by the work of artists who were part of the  Blue Rider art movement this exhibition is celebrating. It is also a celebration of the waistcoat about which Samuel Pepys wrote in 1660, ‘The King hath yesterday declared his resolution of setting a fashion for clothes which he will never alter. It will be a vest.’ The waistcoat has survived many fashion changes, has a very varied personality and can make a powerful statement.-not unlike the art movement started by Wassily Kandinsky and Franz Marc who gathered together many of the most creative artists of their day.
